Asus Zephyrus ROG GX501VIX problems with speakers

I am having problems with the speakers. The randomly emit some high pitched sound in random applications, whether it's youtube, games, movies etc..

I've contacted the support center and was given the option of reinstalling the drivers (didn't help) or that it might be problems with the BIOS. However my unit shipped with a bios version higher that the official (following the driver/documentation page for the PC). And as a last resort is sending it to the official support in my country meaning 4 weeks without a PC, which I cannot afford, especially not if there is no resolution to the problem.
