What BIOS settings are recommended to adjust or set or check ( Rog Strix X299-XE )
Hi Asus-Fans, Hardware-Pros and other Forum-users,
As an retired administrator I knew some settings that you should change in you BIOS before you go and install windows. But that was like 8 years ago when Overcloaking and such was only a niche-category.
So the new BIOS of modern motherboards are loaded with a lot of settings I dont even know what they do and the manual doesnt really explain them aswell.
Which settings should I change/set or check in my case to speed up and optimizie my rig?
Thats my rig:
Intel i9-7900
Asus Rog Strix X299-XE
Samsung EVO 960 M2 1TB
2x Sasmung EVO 860 500GB
Windows 10 x64
Corsair Vengance 3200 4x8
Because I dont use WLAN and the Bluetooth signal of this board is just terrible I disabled both servies.
I truned on XMP so the DRAM will get recognized with its 3200 Mhz. But so far thats all I changed.
Thanks in advance for your tips and sharing your experience.
Chris

Normally you only need to enable XMP to get your memory up to speed. Other than that, there's nothing else to modify unless you're going to run a RAID array or overclock your system.
