Any oc guide for R6E?

Hello,

I would like to overclock my delidded i9 7900x. However, I don't know where to start. Which guides do you use?

I've read a few and maybe I know something, but I'm not sure. Can you give your settings - voltage, mesh and which Mode (adaptive or offset)?

I know that we have different units, but your settings would allow me to learn the values that need to be changed under my processor.

Given the nature of the platform it's probably best if you disclose your full specs, most importantly cooling before throwing settings at you.

You're right, here's my specification:

Delidded 7900x
32 GB Trident Z 3600 MHz cl16
ASUS Rampage vi extreme
1000w psu
Custom liquid cooling with phobya supernova 1260

Good radiator, have had mine for a few years.

Is the CPU pre binned? Try the below for non AVX workloads, my settings from my 7940x. Note 4.7 is fairly good for this CPU, so lower the ratio till you find stability.

I tend to use XTU stress test as a starting point for non AVX workload stability.

VCCIN 1.85
LLC 6
Core ratio: 47
Vcore 1.25
Ratio 47
AVX offset 3
AVX512 offset 5

Leave these till after core stability has been found.

Cache voltage 1.0 - 1.05v
Ratio 30

Hey,one question,is VCCIN= CPU input voltage?

Raja had indicated in a post some time ago that the x99 OC guide is pretty much similar to what you need to follow with x299.

I have similar settings to Slient Scone but my vcore is a bit less since I am not trying to maintain a 4.7 OC.
RVIE X299 System:
Windows 10 Prof 64-bit | Intel Core i9 7900x | ASUS Rampage VI Extreme | Corsair AX 1200i PSU
Corsair 900D | 32 GB 3200 G.SKILL Trident RGB Series | RTX 3090/EVGA GTX 1080 | Acer X34 Predator Monitor
Samsung 840 PRO 256 GB | Samsung 850 EVO 500 GB | Intel 520 SATA SSD 240GB HD | 2 & 4 TB WD Black Hard Drive
Creative Sound Blaster Z | Logitech THX 5.1 speaker setup

It's optimistic, but when asking for other peoples settings, this is what you get occasionally ;). If the CPU has been delidded, it's more likely to be achievable.

Very true. All you can do is try and see what happens.

Thank you very much 🙂 I have the last problem. I don't understand LLC. I would like to have two profiles - "4.5ghz eco" and extreme 4.8 ghz. So 1-5 are for an extreme oc, and 6-8 for a small oc? I understand correctly? 😕

Yes, vccin is a cpu input voltage
