Zenith Extreme Code 00 "Detecting Memory"
I have the following build:
MB Asus Zenith Extreme
RAM Corsair Vengeance Blue LED 64GB DDR4 3000MHz CL15 Quad Channel Kit - CMU64GX4M4C3000C15B
GPU Titan X (x2)
PSU Seasonic Platinum 1050W
CPU Threadripper 1950X
Lost my fingertips last night putting everything together and bending acryl so here I am...booting. I can't get past this issue that is shown in the small LCD on the mother board:
Code 00
Detecting memory
Flashed to the latest bios, tried CMOS, tried switching the RAM (the ram worked just fine on a different MB), CPU was placed carefully and the screws are tight; also tried with a single RAM on every slot. Nothing makes this PC go past that error.
The ram is not on the QVL list so I waited another day to buy something that is on that list. I purchased a stick from Kingston (KVR24N17S8/8) which, sadly, gave the same result with the same error and everything.
Any advice besides a RMA? I think I'm going to cry if I have to empty the cooling and start ripping everything apart.
UPDATE: I took everything apart to take another look at the CPU and mother CPU pins. Everything seems in order: https://imgur.com/a/W2usgLast edited by ciokan; 02-09-2018 at 02:43 PM.

Did you check the board on an open testbed before you plumbed the water loop? Always wise to try an open build before you progress to a complex build.

I can't see anything wrong with pins and contacts on CPU from those photos...
What block was on the CPU?
PSU known good psu...did you check 8pin connections on MB and cables from PSU?

Checked the 8pin connections yes. Both of them are CPU/MB wires (not PCI-E). The system works with fans and everything but it won't go past memory. The block that is cooling the CPU is this one here: https://www.ekwb.com/shop/ek-fb-asus...noblock-nickel

OK, assuming the installation of the block was meticulous...and you know the PSU is good ( test another if you have a spare ) you may be into RMA territory
Either that or that top of the line system is waiting for some top of the line RAM

Turn off the power. Remove the power cords. Remove the CMOS battery. Wait. Put battery back in, put power cords back in, and boot. May take a little while. This *might* fix the problem.

Same fault here. Code 00.
It just froze when it worked on a task.
Sometimes i got the post screen sometimes not.
1 out of 15 times i got into the bios, but it was super unresponsive. (0,1 fps)
Removed the bios battery and power, waited 5 min. Still got code 00.
Did a bios flashback (1002). Still code 00.
Then i left it over night without the battery and power.
Worked next morning....Last edited by erland82; 04-08-2018 at 08:07 PM.

The ram needs to be in the grey slots. not sure if this helps.
