G752VY Intel (R) Dual Band Wireless-AC 8260 stopped working
Hey,
I got an Asus ROG G752VY laptop and after about one year of usage the wifi stopped working. I checked device manager and realized that the wifi card has stopped working. I disabled it and enabled it and this helped around two times but after that the problem came back and the disabling doesn't help anymore. Is this an issue related to the driver? Or do I need to purchase a new wifi card?
Thanks in advance.

I have seen wireless LAN adapters fail from time to time. In your case, I would guess you are having driver issues. The Intel 8260 is a good wireless LAN adapter. The 8000 series wireless LAN adapters use a PCIe socket and are not compatible with earlier adapters.
I use the Intel Driver and Support Assistant to keep my Intel drivers up to date. I've been using this program for about a year now, with no problems. I suggest you download and run the program about once a month.
The program can be downloaded from this site: https://downloadcenter.intel.com/dow...port-Assistant
Good Luck

Not so sure about the intel assistant, never worked for me and actually tried to go backwards on my wifi and chipset drivers
You can however get drivers and manually install them. https://downloadcenter.intel.com/pro...reless-AC-8260

Yes of course if drivers don’t work a new half card is cheap and fairly easy to change once you crack it open. The card itself resides just above the keyboard of the left.*
