Should an M.2 Intel 545s SSD work with awith a Strix X370-F mobo?
Below are my specs and issue.

PC CASE: Fractal Design Define C
Operating system: Windows 10 64-bit Microsoft Activated yes/no? YES
Drivers Installed (include version):
Any third Party temp/voltage software installed:
System Overclocked (provide details)? No.
IssueSSD M.2 Intel 545s is not detected by the BIOS.
Detects all my 2.5" SSD's just fine.
Tried motherboard with
only the M.2 Intel 545s plugged in, all other drives removed. No difference.
I assumed the motherboard would be able to use M.2 SSDs that use either SATA or PCIE.
This is the spec page
https://www.asus.com/Motherboards/ROG-STRIX-X370-F-GAMING/specifications/.
It says this about its M.2 support:
1 x M.2 Socket 3, with M key, type 2242/2260/2280/22110 storage devices support (SATA & PCIE 3.0 x 4 mode)
The bit at the end is why I assumed the Intel 545s M.2 would work, "SATA & PCIE 3.0 x 4 mode".
