Overall this card is just great, we have nothing bad to say other than we wish we had a pair of them to try out. If you’ve been wanting to water cool, but aren’t quite ready yet, this would put you in the perfect position to just throw a loop in later for better temps, or if you like the idea of water cooling AND having a warranty. Either way, you won't be disappointed.

Once again the GTX 1080ti chip impresses me with solid performance across all tested games. The only game not breaking the 60 FPS limit in 4K was Ghost Recon and it was just under 60 FPS. We tear through the 1440p games like a hot knife through butter.

If you have created liquid cooling and want to expand it with GTX 1080 Ti, then it is worth considering such a hybrid solution - it is easier to implement and does not frustrate the warranty.

I am a fan of liquid cooling, so having Poseidon for review is a great pleasure. Testing the performance, the results depend on GPU and memory clocks, but also on BIOS optimizations. 1080 Ti Poseidon has the highest frequencies for GPU of all boards I’ve tested. DirectCU H2O cooler is good and is able to keep the GPU temperature at 74C using air cooling and stock settings. Fan profile is balanced right as it is also perfectly silent. Yet, 1080 Ti Strix runs 8C cooler. Using water cooling, the temp reached a max 45C, which is great nevertheless , and can’t be beat by any air cooler.
