We’re proud to unveil the ROG Swift PG32UQX, the ultimate Mini LED 4K high-dynamic-range (HDR) gaming monitor, at CES 2020. Variable refresh rates up to 144Hz and support for 10-bit color throughout the refresh rate range ensure that the PG32UQX always shows off your games, movies, and desktop applications at their best. NVIDIA G-SYNC support means you’ll enjoy smooth, tear-free gameplay even when frame rates fall below the PG32UQX’s native 144Hz refresh rate, and the incredibly capable panel and backlight inside let the display pass NVIDIA’s most stringent tier of G-SYNC certification—G-SYNC ULTIMATE—with flying colors.

The power to wow

Thanks to its more saturated colors, brighter whites, and darker blacks versus standard-dynamic-range (SDR) content, HDR gaming is the clear future of entertainment. We’re already fully committed to this future with the deepest bench of VESA DisplayHDR 1000 monitors around, and the PG32UQX is our first gaming display to meet the even more stringent VESA DisplayHDR 1400 standard. Take one look at an HDR game or movie on one of our monitors, and you’ll never want to return to the world of standard-dynamic-range content ever again.

The ROG Swift PG32UQX provides the most delectable HDR feast for the eyes of any 16:9 display so far. A full-array local dimming Mini LED backlight with 1152 zones lets the PG32UQX display the brightest highlights and darkest blacks of a scene with incredible contrast and minimal haloing. Small highlights in games, like light bulbs or the disc of the sun, can reach peak brightness of up to 1400 nits on this monitor, offering a more lifelike HDR experience than ever before. And since portions of the mini LED backlight can turn off as needed, you’ll enjoy some of the inkiest shadows around when a scene calls for them.

PG32UQX-Front-final

To be G-SYNC ULTIMATE certified, a monitor has to prove that it can display the wide DCI P3 color gamut, reach 1000 nits of peak brightness or better, and employ a cutting-edge full-array local-dimming backlight. With its support for over 90% of the DCI-P3 color space, 1400-nit peak brightness specification, and 1152-zone Mini LED backlight, the PG32UQX easily clears the bar for entry into this elite tier of G-SYNC monitors.

Performance meets practicality

The PG32UQX is designed to be a productive companion outside of games, too. Making full use of the desktop real estate offered by a 4K resolution isn’t always practical on a 27” monitor, simply because not all of us have eagle eyes. Many users take advantage of 4K displays’ high pixel density by scaling up the Windows desktop for smoother text rendering, but for those who want to use all of the real estate available from a 4K resolution, the 32” diagonal expanse of the PG32UQX offers a pixel density better suited to running the Windows desktop without scaling.

PG32UQX-Back

When you put the ultimate gaming monitor on your desk, you don’t want to leave any doubt that you’re the king of the hill, and the PG32UQX doesn’t hold back in the styling department. Multiple textures on the back of the display, separated by a subtle diagonal chrome strip, signal that this monitor isn’t your average screen. An Aura Sync-enabled RGB LED ROG logo lets you coordinate the PG32UQX with your other Aura-enabled components for a fully synchronized battlestation. And an ROG logo projector in the base of our trademark twisted stand lets you show off your allegiance to the Republic of Gamers or display your own logo using the included blank discs.
