ROG Falchion Ace HFX COMPACT & SWIFT

The ROG Falchion Ace HFX is a compact 65% analog gaming keyboard that features the ROG HFX Magnetic Switches with a customizable actuation range of 0.1 - 4.0 mm, along with a dedicated Rapid Trigger toggle for the fastest typing response. An 8000 Hz polling rate ensures ultra-responsive performance, making the Falchion Ace HFX considerably faster than competitor keyboards. Five-layer dampening and a silicone gasket mount absorb pinging noises and vibrations, delivering a superior typing experience. A multifunction button and interactive touch panel enable intuitive adjustments to actuation points, along with effortless control over media playback, volume, and keyboard lighting. Dual USB-C® ports on the left and right rear of the keyboard offer flexible connectivity, with a quick-toggle to seamlessly switch between two PCs.

Compact 65% Form Factor

The ROG Falchion Ace HFX masterfully incorporates arrow and navigation keys into a 65% keyboard layout. In fact, at just 315 mm in length, it’s almost the same size as a 60% keyboard. Enjoy all of the functions of a normal keyboard while saving desktop space.

ROG HFX Magnetic Switches

ROG’s latest pre-lubed magnetic switches are engineered for a solid feel with lightning-fast, ultraprecise performance and a lifespan of 100 million keypresses.

  1. Top Housing

Customizable Actuation Point

The ROG HFX Magnetic Switches offer an adjustable actuation range from 0.1 to 4.0 mm to cater to all typing preferences. Tweaking the actuation point can be done via the multi-function button and touch panel, or through Armoury Crate software.

Rapid Trigger

  • A dedicated toggle switch on the top-right rear panel of the ROG Falchion Ace HFX activates the Rapid Trigger feature for the fastest typing response and key repeat rate. By default, only WASD keys are enabled when this feature is activated. Rapid Trigger for other keys can be enabled via Armoury Crate.

  • Traditional mechanical switches require a return to the reset point before the next click registers. With ROG HFX Magnetic Switches and the Rapid Trigger feature, the switch resets instantly as it moves upward, delivering maximum counter-strafing potential with minimal effort.

Speed Tap Mode

In Speed Tap (SOCD*) mode, as soon as the system detects the input of two keys (e.g. A and D), it will prioritize the last input and automatically release the previous one. This means that in FPS games, pressing two opposing directional keys will no longer cause the character to stop moving. Instead, directional changes can now be done immediately without releasing the previous key, eliminating any time gap for counter-strafing and ensuring precise aim every time.

*Speed Tap feature is turned off by default. Simultaneously press Fn + Tab keys to activate.

8000 Hz Polling Rate

A high-speed USB microcontroller delivers an 8000 Hz polling rate that refreshes input up to 8X faster than most gaming keyboards, reducing delay from 1 millisecond to a mere 0.125 ms.

*Polling rate is how often the keyboard reports to your computer. The faster the polling rate, the quicker the response time of each keypress. Gaming keyboards typically have a top polling rate of 1000 Hz. An 8000 Hz polling rate means the keyboard reports 8000 times per second, which eliminates input lag.

Intuitive Controls

A multi-function button and an interactive touch panel lets you tweak a variety of settings, including volume, media playback, keyboard lighting, and actuation point, as well as customizing commands. Additionally, the LED lighting bar on top of the keyboard displays dynamic lighting effects to reflect adjustments in real-time.

  • All Key Setting

    The LED of the adjustable keys will turn off, and adjustments to the actuation point can be done directly through the touch panel. Red-backlit keys (DKS function set via Armoury Crate) or blue-backlit keys (per-key actuation point set via Armoury Crate or the touch panel) cannot be adjusted.

  • Per-Key Setting

    Double-tapping the touch panel activates this mode, and the LEDs of adjustable keys will turn green. Pressing the key that needs to be adjusted will turn off all the LEDs of other keys, with the selected key staying green. The actuation point for the selected key can be done via the touch panel. Once complete, select a different key to adjust its actuation point.

    *Red-backlit keys (DKS function set via Armoury Crate) cannot be adjusted, while blue-backlit keys (with per-key actuation point set via Armoury Crate or the touch panel) can be adjusted.

    • Five-Layer Dampening and Gasket Mount

    The Falchion Ace HFX uses five dampening layers – two PORON® and three silicone – to absorb keystroke vibrations and pinging noise, providing a superior cushioned typing experience.

    • ROG PBT Doubleshot Keycaps

      ROG PBT doubleshot keycaps provide a premium feel and offer long-lasting durability. Key design has been optimized with mid-height keycaps and a shorter stem to reduce key wobble, providing a more comfortable user experience.

      The pre-lubed keyboard stabilizer has been specially tuned with gamers in mind; it produces less friction, allowing long keys such as Spacebar, Shift and Enter to deliver keystrokes that stay true to the original switch feel.

    Dual-Port Flexibility

    The Falchion Ace HFX features two USB-C ports on either side of the rear edge for a much neater setup, allowing users to connect up to two PCs simultaneously and quick-toggle switch between the two.

    The bundled cover keeps dust away from the keyboard when not in use. It can also be placed under the keyboard as a tray mount.
