PCIe 5.0

Blazing fast storage is at your command with three PCIE 5.0 M.2 slots and one PCIE 4.0 M.2 slot. Push speeds even further, create a mirrored backup, or both; NVMe and SATA RAID configurations (0/1/10) are available through AMD RAID Xpert2. PCIe 5.0 support also extends to two x16 extension slots, which include SafeSlot to support heavy graphics cards and Q-release (top slot only) for easy upgrades.

In this video I installed an ASUS ROG Strix X670E-E with an AMD Ryzen 9 7950X, we will see the Bios and I will do a general system test. Being a ROG there's not much to say about the quality part, it's still very good and elegant in terms of design as well.

The ASUS ROG STRIX Z790-A GAMING WIFI II is a fantastic motherboard, which I have used to test all Intel cpu's. It is a level motherboard that has everything you could ask for.

After today's review, I have to admit that even expensive boards can have their merits. Features such as AI Overclock, Core Flex and the ability to set different conditions here are the strengths of these more expensive Asus X670E pieces. It's just a shame that the USB 4.0 gear is only available on the Hero.

Both boards are absolutely fantastic, one is better and better equipped and more expensive.

I was really looking forward to Ryzen 9000 with the new Zen 5 architecture. The previous Zen 4 proved to be a great architecture and this generation was only going to improve things. The reality, however, is a bit different. AMD made a great architecture, but completely neglected everything around it...
