ROG Strix LC IV series AIO CPU liquid coolers can beat the heat without the cables

For many gamers, a new build isn’t done until everything is tidy. But while most of a PC’s cables can be straightened, bundled, and routed out of sight without too much frustration, the ones for your AIO CPU liquid cooler defy most of our straightening attempts. There’s only so much you can do with a cable that starts on the side of an AIO’s pump housing and ends on a nearby header, and if you’ve opted for an AIO cooler with a built-in display, you’ll need to figure out a non-messy route for a second cable, as well. Behind the scenes, we’ve been working on a new approach that lets you put the zip ties back on the shelf. With our new ROG Strix LC IV series, we’re debuting AIO Q-Connector technology. When you pair one of these AIO CPU liquid coolers with a compatible motherboard, you won’t need to connect a single cable to the pump, simplifying installation and cleaning up your build.
Skip the cables with AIO Q-Connector
Here’s how AIO Q-Connector works. Near the copper plate of the new ROG Strix LC IV series AIO CPU liquid coolers, you’ll see the AIO Q-Connector module. When you mount the cooler in place, the AIO Q-Connector pins make contact with a corresponding module on your compatible motherboard. Through these direct metal contact points, ROG Strix LC IV series AIO CPU liquid coolers receive power and control signals for the pump, ARGB elements, and (with select models) the display. You won’t even need to connect any cables for the radiator fans. The AIO Q-Connector passes along the PWM signals they need through a cable that’s hidden inside the tube sleeving.
For AIO Q-Connector to work, you do need to pair an ROG Strix LC IV series AIO CPU liquid cooler with a compatible motherboard. We’re debuting the corresponding tech on four new AM5 motherboards: the ROG Crosshair X870E Glacial, ROG Crosshair X870E Dark Hero, ROG Strix X870E-E Gaming WiFi7 Neo, and ROG Strix X870E-A Gaming WiFi7 Neo. Beyond their cable-free technology for hooking up an AIO CPU liquid cooler to a motherboard, these all-new boards offer enhanced memory performance, big changes to the UEFI BIOS, bold new visual designs, innovative new ways to streamline your building process, and much more. Perhaps you like the look of the ROG Strix LC IV series AIO CPU liquid coolers, but you’d prefer to stick with your current motherboard. Not to worry — you can install these AIO coolers on a standard motherboard, too. They have a modular cable design that lets you plug in the usual cables when you need them, and leave them in the box when you don’t. All options in the series are compatible with AM5, AM4, LGA 1851, and LGA 1700 motherboards, and include the necessary brackets and screws for all these motherboard types.
Shorter tubes, cleaner look
In a PC case that lets you mount a liquid cooling radiator in the front panel or even a dedicated secondary chamber, you need a longer length of tubing so that you can install the radiator properly. But given the popularity of cases with bottom-to-top airflow, an increasing number of PC builders don’t need all that tubing. In most cases, there’s just not that much distance between your CPU socket and the top panel of your chassis.

For builders who’ve grown tired of tubing dangling awkwardly in front of the rest of their components, we offer the ROG Strix SLC IV 360 ARGB LCD. This variant features short tubing that cuts down on the unnecessary length while maintaining an easy build experience with top-mounted radiator installations. If longer tubing is essential for your build plans, grab one of the standard-tube models instead.
Streamlined radiator installation
With the ROG Strix LC IV lineup, we’re also simplifying the process of installing the liquid cooling radiator. Each model features an all-in-one fan design that’s pre-integrated with the 360mm radiator.

This design spares you from the busy work of screwing fans into place as you’re setting up your cooling system, and it also gave us the opportunity to have a bit of fun with the lighting design. We’ve implemented Aura Fan Edge lighting across the entire visible front face of the triple-fan structure. This bold, multi-dimensional lighting makes for an eye-catching addition to your setup, and its color scheme is fully customizable with ASUS Aura Sync.
Six new options for your gaming rig
With three base models available in two different colorways, you’ll have six options to pick from in the ROG Strix LC IV Series lineup. Starting at the top, the ROG Strix SLC IV 360 ARGB LCD and ROG Strix LC IV 360 ARGB LCD each give you a spacious 5.08-inch LCD display to play with. This full-color IPS display has a resolution of 720x720, and you can use it for hardware monitoring, custom content, or exclusive ROG animations. The ASUS InfoHub app keeps you in control through a simplified, low-impact interface. Both options are available in black or white. Grab the SLC model if you’re interested in shorter tubing, and the LC version for standard tubing.
The selection rounds out with the ROG Strix LC IV 360 ARGB, which skips the display in favor of an ARGB logo atop the pump housing. Like the other models in the series, you’ll have your choice between white and black versions.

A big display for system monitoring and more
Cable management is easy when there are no cables to manage. Pair one of the new ROG Strix LC IV Series AIO CPU liquid coolers with a compatible motherboard, and you won’t have to bother with cables for the fans, ARGB elements, or the optional display. With the short-tubing version, you can avoid letting the tubes take over the center stage in your build. You can put the spotlight on other components instead — like the 5.08-inch LCD that you get with select models in the series. All that, and you’ll enjoy peace of mind that your AIO CPU liquid cooler is ready to go the distance thanks to a generous 6-year warranty.
