SINGAPORE, January 26, 2024 — ASUS Republic of Gamers (ROG) today announced the availability of the ROG Falchion RX Low Profile gaming keyboard. This 65% keyboard was recently unveiled at CES 2024 and was selected as a 2024 CES Innovation Award honoree. It has an ultrathin 26.5 mm profile and masterfully incorporates arrow and navigation keys within a compact 60% frame.

The Falchion RX Low Profile is armed with pre-lubed ROG RX Red or Blue Low-profile Optical Switches featuring centralized lighting and providing consistent wobble-free keystrokes with near-zero debounce delay. A multifunction button and interactive touch panel on the Falchion RX Low Profile allows users to intuitively adjust volume, play/pause media or keyboard lighting; with commands customizable through Armoury Crate. Tri-mode connectivity enables users to connect to three devices simultaneously via Bluetooth®, or use ROG SpeedNova 2.4 GHz wireless technology or wired USB connection. The ROG Omni Receiver allows the user to connect to multiple supported devices via a single receiver to free up an additional USB port. Inside, two layers of silicone foam eliminate echoes and switching pinging for great acoustics to enhance the typing experience.

For added versatility, the Falchion RX Low Profile features MacOS support, and users can also easily toggle between Windows and MacOS modes. It also includes a convenient travel cover for day-to-day protection against dust, scratches, as well as other wear and tear.

Compact and slim design

The ROG Falchion RX Low Profile retains the 65% layout of its predecessor to provide more room for the mouse hand when gaming. Arrow and navigation keys are included within its 60% aluminum frame. It’s travel-friendly, too, with a profile measuring just 26.5 mm thick. The slim profile is enabled thanks to the use of RX Low-profile switches.

Low-profile Optical Switches

RX Low-profile Optical Switches feature UV-coated ABS keycaps with greater stain-and-scratch resistance versus standard ABS keycaps. They retain the familiar ROG RX structure with a unique hollow-square stem, four corner latches, and the X-stabilizer design. Available in both linear Red and clicky Blue variants, these switches are pre-lubed and provide consistent, wobble-free keystrokes with near-zero debounce delay. The Red and Blue switches offer 1.0 mm and 1.5 mm of travel distance respectively.

Tri-mode connectivity

The ROG Falchion RX Low Profile features tri-mode connectivity via Bluetooth, 2.4 GHz ROG SpeedNova technology, or wired USB. Bluetooth mode allows for simultaneous connection of up to three devices, with the ability to easily swap between them. Meanwhile, the wireless 2.4 GHz mode takes advantage of the ROG Omni Receiver to connect multiple supported ROG devices to a PC via a single USB receiver, allowing users to pair the Falchion RX Low Profile with a ROG Harpe Ace or Keris II mouse without the need for a second dongle.

Touch panel and LED lighting

A multifunction switch paired with an interactive touch panel allows users to adjust volume, control media playback, and tweak keyboard lighting. These controls can be customized within Armoury Crate software to include actions such as zooming in/out of images/pages. An LED feature illuminates each time the touch panel is used.

Convenient features

The ROG Falchion RX Low Profile offers MacOS support and includes a toggle that lets users switch between Windows and Mac modes.

Aura Sync compatibility provides a wide color spectrum and dynamic lighting effects, and each key is individually lit to allow users to create a truly unique look. Armoury Crate unifies system and lighting controls, making it easy to create, define and customize profiles, map keys, and record macros.
