...the best news, of course, is the battery life. It's improved significantly, and depending on the game you're playing, you'll be able to play for a whole afternoon sometimes, far from a power socket. Added to its solid pre-existing base, what more could you ask for from the ROG Ally X?

...we can say that the 2024 version of the console has matured. Better battery life, a larger SSD and improved performance. We really appreciate the fact that ASUS has been able to correct some of the shortcomings we identified.

The ROG Ally X is an excellent evolution of ASUS' previous console. More powerful thanks to more RAM and reworked ventilation, ergonomics corrected thanks to user feedback, and a battery twice as big: the ROG Ally X becomes the champion of the medium... The heating problems have been corrected and don't hinder long-term use at all. In short, a high-performance Windows-based handheld console with a decent battery!

With the ROG Ally X, Windows is still omnipresent, but Armoury Crate SE 1.5 provides better management not only of everything related to the console, but also of games, with a menu adapted to consoles. On the hardware side, Asus has been able to review its console and make the necessary changes to offer gamers a more coherent vision of the PC console made by a major PC manufacturer ... because performance and autonomy are definitely on the agenda together this year.

The ROG Ally X is the console it should have been in the first version. Pleasing design, rethought buttons, doubled battery life and expanded storage... Asus has corrected its shortcomings to offer a comfortable, powerful and nomadic machine.

Starting with a better grip and a stronger battery, a divine design, but also an infinite catalog of games and Dolby Atmos sound quality to die for. What's more, with its optimal ventilation, added RAM and extra storage, we have to admit that the ROG Ally X is a portable console to own...

Rog Ally X is undoubtedly a successful improvement on the first version. More ergonomic, more powerful and more pleasant to use, it corrects most of the minor shortcomings of its predecessor. Performance is impressive for a handheld Windows console, and the gaming experience lives up to the expectations of demanding gamers.
