Gaming on the go has never been more popular thanks to the sheer number of capable phones and compelling games currently on the market. While many of the traditional peripherals aren’t needed for mobile gaming, audio is still a key component in providing an immersive experience. Unfortunately, most gaming headsets are massive, which makes them difficult to stash in your bag and awkward to wear when you’re out, so they tend to stay at home.

The ROG Cetra earbuds bundle the fidelity of gaming headphones in a portable package. Just like any good gaming headset, you’ll find incredibly strong bass and optimized audio, and hear every little detail thanks to our ASUS Essence driver. To ensure they’re comfortable for all ears, there are three different sizes of our ergonomic custom ear fins, three sets of silicone tips, and one pair of foam tips included. They come nestled in their own protective carrying case that keeps them safe between uses.

Hello USB-C

The traditional headphone jack is becoming increasingly hard to find on flagship phones. Though our ROG Phone still proudly sports one alongside its USB Type-C ports, these any-way-is-up connectors are the new norm for power delivery, data transfer, and audio in modern smartphones, and 3.5 mm headsets are slowly being traded in for more sophisticated solutions. Using this powered connector in our ROG Cetra headset allows us to pack in extra features like our active noise cancellation (ANC) technology and our glowing stylish red ROG logo on the back of each bud.

When you’re trying to immerse yourself in a game, distractions are the real enemy. Our active noise cancellation technology allows you to play without interruptions by eliminating unwanted noises around you. ANC specifically targets low and mid-range frequencies which helps eliminate most environmental noises as well as the people talking around you. When you don’t want to block everything out, like when you’re waiting to hear your name called at the coffee shop, you can switch it off with just the touch of a switch.

If you just want to drown out background noise, you can enable Ambient Mode, which plays ambient sounds to drown out mids and lows. It specifically captures and reproduces the human vocal range and allows high-frequency sound through to ensure that you can be alerted in the event of an emergency.

The in-line controls are kept simple, with three keys dedicated to your most frequently used commands like play/pause, skip tracks, volume control, and answering calls. The omni-directional mic lets you communicate clearly with your squadmates, or chat with your friends when you’re actually using your phone as a phone. When you’re out and about, a slider on the side lets you toggle ANC on/off or turn on Ambient Mode for those times when you don’t want to listen to anything. An LED light will illuminate or blink to let you know which mode is currently enabled.
