[NUC] Shutting Down and Restarting an NUC through Windows* Doesn’t Work

Resolution

Capture the BIOS version. To do this, click Windows Start Button and Type msinfo32 to run the log and see the BIOS version
Update the BIOS to the latest version using Express BIOS Update (Windows based)
- Confirm if the BIOS has successfully updated to the latest version.
If the NUC wont shutdown after successfully updating the BIOS:
1. Run CMD. Type "Command Prompt" in the Windows Search bar.
2. In the Command Prompt type shutdown -h, it will shutdown the system.
3. Turn the system back on. If routed to boot option,
  1. Select BIOS settings
  2. Press F9 to set BIOS to default settings
  3. Press F10 to save the setting
1. Confirm if the BIOS has successfully updated to the latest version.
2. Check if the shutdown and restart buttons in Windows work now.
3. If not, repeat the process using Express BIOS update.
