[NUC] Armoury Crate Orientation Notification

Product: ROG NUC 16 (all NUC16JNK models: NUC16JNK9XX9, NUC16JNK9XX7, NUC16JNK9XX6, NUC16JNK7XX4)

Overview
The ROG NUC 16 includes an orientation‑aware startup feature that ensures proper vertical or horizontal positioning during boot. During startup process a notification may appear indicating the system vertically or horizontally.

Reason for Display
During power on, the G sensor verifies device orientation. If the unit is positioned between recommended supported orientations, a notification may appear for approximately three seconds.

Recommended Positioning
Place the system in a stable vertical or horizontal orientation with the included stand before powering on.

Startup Behavior
If the system detects an unsupported orientation during following:
• POST: The firmware performs an orientation check and may display a brief reminder.
• OS Startup: A check occurs when the Armoury Crate driver loads. A G-Sensor Tip Notification may appear.
Both notifications are informational and do not affect startup performance.

BIOS Control (Enable/Disable)
The G-Sensor notification can be enabled or disabled in BIOS. Disabling the orientation reminder in BIOS suppresses the POST message reminder.

OS Control (Enable/Disable)
When the G‑Sensor Tip notification appears, select “Yes” or “No” when asked “Would you like to continue to receive this notification?” to turn “enable” or “disable” future reminders.

Operational Status
The notification is part of standard system behavior and does not indicate a hardware issue.
