Hello, few days ago I bought new Asus g750 JZ. There was no OS included so I bought Windows 8.1. I installed all necessacy drivers, updates etc., games were working fine, there were no problems at all... until i turned off the notebook. IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL appeard. It's popping up while system is booting and ONLY when notebook is powered off for a longer time (about 20-30 mins... so weird). Restarting system has no effect on the BSOD. OS is booting properly. I've tested everything, RAM, SSD, GPU, CPU, everything is working fine. I have no idea what is happening and i would be very grateful for some tips, how to get rid of this BSOD.

Open Windows Update and check to see if there's an update available for .NET Framework, or any updates available for that matter.

Windows automaticly updated .NET Framework files, checked in history... there no other updates avaiable. 😞

I think it's not possible, as I said before, all notebook components were tested and are working fine.
The only thing that wasn't tested is the SSD on which my Windows is actually installed.. It's SanDiskUltra Plus 256 GB, firmware is up-to-date but nothing else comes to my mind... No idea, SSD can casue such issue? 😞
Oh yea.. and Intel's HD 4600 graphics, since I have no idea how to test it or check if drivers are casuing any problems.

Yeah, I hope you're right.
but, having experienced this, hardware issues often are NOT detected by multiple "diagnostic tools" or "tests", but at the end are ultimately present....

Did you happen to upgrade the memory, or know if your store did this?

Not sure if this bluescreen error is normally related to memory, but something to consider especially if you can check it easily without getting into trouble with the warranty (otherwise, ask the correct people to check it for you).

Since memory errors can be tricky to catch with diagnostic programs in my opinion, I would just try to remove extra memory sticks temporarily to see if the bluescreens go away.

If it actually helps, reseating the memory would be the next step, but watch out for the possibility of a bad memory slot on the notebook motherboard too and try different memory modules in different slots.

The problem can probably be caused by different things though, if you want to look into the other suggestions as well.

Hey d1abolit,

I had the same problems because i was using RAM > 1,35V.
When i switched to 1,35V all my BSODs vanished.

Basically do what cl-Albert said and try to verify what RAM you're using. 🙂
