ASUS Republic of Gamers Announces Swift PG248Q
If you hunger for the taste of victory, ROG Swift PG248Q was made for it. Although we'd love to see pictures of you licking it, in truth the monitor was made for victories and the taste isn't as delectable as it looks. The PG in the model name denotes Premium Gaming which is the highest in the gaming series, and 24 means this is a 24-inch monitor. Designed for professional gaming, this is the official monitor for ESL ONE Cologne 2016 and The International 2016.
To allow visuals to be smooth and as fast as your cat-like reflexes, PG248Q features an overclockable 180Hz refresh rate, 1ms response time and NVIDIA G-SYNC to eliminate smearing, tearing, motion blur and all your enemies (ok, well maybe not all your enemies although that would be nice). To take advantage of the 180Hz refresh rate, it is best to pair it with a GTX 1060 or higher. The high refresh rate also means that you're ready for NVIDIA 3D Vision 2, and 3D LightBoost improves brightness without affecting energy consumption.
The usual exclusive features for high-end gaming displays are here - GamePlus for in-game enhancements such as a crosshair overlay, onscreen timer, FPS (frames per second) counter, and a display-alignment function, and GameVisual gives you six preset display modes (Scenery, Racing, Cinema, RTS/RPG, FPS (First-Person Shooter) and sRGB) to enhance visuals for different game genres. If your eyes seem to tire easily while playing games, ASUS Ultra-Low Blue Light technology in tandem with Flicker-Free technology (both certified by TÜV Rheinland laboratories to reduce blue light emissions and flicker) might be exactly what you need for long gaming sessions or marathons.
PG248Q was designed to be Full-HD and has narrow-bezels for super high frame rates and is ideal for multi-display setups - you don't need to break the bank in order to have the power to run games smoothly on a setup like this. You can use either a DisplayPort or HDMI cable to connect to the PG248Q, plus there are two handy USB 3.0 ports to help hide cables. This can be mounted on walls or multi-display stands easily using the VESA mount, or you can tilt, swivel, pivot and alter the height any way you like with the ROG stand, which comes with a cable-management design.
