ROG OC Showdown Area at HWBot World Tour event: Competition prizes announced
Earlier last week we announced the ROG OC Showdown Area that will take place during the HWBOT World Tour event just after Computex from June 6th till June 8th, 2015 in Taipei, Taiwan. This event is organized by HWBOT in partnership with ASUS ROG, HyperX, Seasonic, Intel and Dimastech.
The best worldwide overclockers will assist this gathering with 3 main activities:
- ROG OC Showdown Area
- World Series Competition
- Overclocker gathering
ROG OC Showdown Area
This Area will allows overclockers to show off their overclocking skills. The target for this stage are 3D benchmarks and Memory benchmarks:
For each WR (World Record) achieved, US$750 will be awarded, and US$250 for GFP (Global First Place) or HFP (Hardware First Place)! Overclockers can choose to bring their own hardware or use the hardware provided (need to book in advance via Eventbrite).
World Series Competition
During the World Tour event, every overclocker with a bench spot is eligible to compete in the World Series competition.
There are three stages: SuperPI 1M Hardware Points, Target Score, and Cinebench R15. The hardware is limited to the event partners: ASUS, HyperX, Intel, and Seasonic.
Here are the prizes for the World Series Competition:
- ASUS ROG Rampage V Extreme
- HyperX DDR4 memory kit
- HyperX SSD
- Dimastech benchtable
Also cash prizes for the top 3 will be awarded. The total cash prize purse will be double the revenue from ticket sales, which at this point in time already stands at US$1040 (prize purse USD $2,040).
The Event will be Streaming Live!
