The striking dot matrix design on the lid is made with a precision CNC milling process that creates 6,536 perfectly spaced perforations in an incredibly small surface area. LIQUID METAL KEEPS CPUS COOLER
Liquid metal compound from Thermal Grizzly reduces CPU temperatures substantially compared to standard thermal paste. The right amount must be applied meticulously for the best results, so we commissioned custom equipment that automates the process with mechanical precision. We overcame the unique challenges of using liquid metal with AMD processors by adding an insulating compound to protect the CPU package.
SELF-CLEANING COOLING 2.0
Self-cleaning cooling helps keep critical components free of debris to maintain optimal thermal dissipation. Our upgraded design features shorter anti-dust tunnels that leave enough room for full-sized fans while channeling dust away from heatsinks, heatpipes, and other cooling components to ensure long-term stability and reliability.
OPTIMIZED FIN DESIGN
Thermal energy is dissipated by four heatsinks in the flanks. Each one is lined with ultra-thin copper fins as slim as 0.15mm, allowing higher density and lower air resistance than typical fins. There are 201 heatsink fins totaling 63,606 mm2 of surface area, with larger 1mm gaps that improve thermal performance. The fins are specially shaped and feature a new notch profile that guides airflow and minimizes interference from the ErgoLift design.
COMPREHENSIVE COOLING
Four heat pipes snake beneath the surface to pull heat away from not only the CPU and GPU, but also the circuitry supplying them with power. Reducing the temperature of these power components helps improve long-term stability and reliability. The CPU, GPU, and VRM have their own pipes connected to shared heatsinks that ensure efficient cooling for any workload, including those that light up only one of the two chips.
ARC FLOW FANS
Two upgraded Arc Flow fans feature 84 carefully shaped blades to maximize airflow and lower acoustics. The blades vary in thickness and are capped with special tips that follow an aerodynamic wave pattern, allowing the fans to draw in more air while minimizing the turbulence that generates noise. Each blade is crafted from a liquid-crystal polymer that’s strong enough to maintain its shape at high RPMs, even in super thin sizes. These fans match our highest blade density and improve airflow by up to 15% without increasing noise.
SCENARIO PROFILES
Scenario Profiles automatically change operating modes to optimize performance and acoustics for different games and applications. Turbo mode uses the highest fan speed and clocks to sustain maximum speed, Performance mode adjusts the clocks and cooling to lower noise levels for gaming, and Silent mode runs even quieter for lighter work and entertainment. You can customize Scenario Profiles to seamlessly switch modes based on your preferences, or use a keyboard shortcut to change modes manually.
