In testing this ROG Phone 8 Pro, I had the impression of holding in my hands the ROG Phone of maturity. The design is sleeker, elements already present on previous versions have been improved, and user requests have been met (camera, better design, new in-game features, etc.).

Let's not prevaricate: the performance of this ROG Phone 8 Pro makes it, in our opinion, the best smartphone available for gaming at the time of writing, and more generally one of the best high-end smartphones on the market. With the ROG Phone 8 Pro, Asus opts for consistency and once again offers an excellent gamer smartphone. The device is increasingly powerful, and boasts an excellent screen. Its ambition is to satisfy all uses, and if the Taiwanese company has revised the photo block by adding a telephoto lens, this has the merit of increasing its versatility.

With the ROG Phone 8 Pro, Asus has completely overhauled its gamer smartphone, both in terms of design and equipment. Admittedly, the more compact format and total waterproofing of the casing have come at the price of some slight sacrifices. But the arrival of wireless charging and a telephoto lens quickly make up for them. Not to mention a large battery that provides long autonomy, regardless of the type of application used.

With its ROG Phone 8, Asus sets the tone right from the start of the year with an extremely powerful and particularly versatile smartphone. It's quite simple: the manufacturer has improved on virtually all the points of criticism of the ROG Phone 7. Better photography, true waterproofing, more controlled heating, more sober design, wireless charging... Perfection doesn't exist, but Asus is getting closer with the ROG Phone 8.
