Allround-PC: Technology Award
Mit dem ROG Maximus Z890 Hero bietet Asus definitiv ein starkes Oberklasse-Mainboard [...], das vor allem für Übertakter interessant sein dürfte.

The Leading In Its Class
When all these features are considered, the ASUS ROG MAXIMUS Z890 HERO motherboard stands out as one of the most high-end models in its class. I don’t believe it will face any issues powering next-generation processors, which has already been confirmed in our tests.

ASUS also improved the little q latch for the graphics card and I really like this. This is the same thing that they've done on the AMD board. Basically, you can put in the graphics card in here and rather rather than having to press a separate button to unlock it, what you do is you kind of just tilt it out and it comes out.

UKRAINE 10/24/2024MehrThe ASUS ROG Maximus Z890 Hero has everything you could possibly want: 6x M.2 slots, with one supporting PCI Express 5 and the rest PCI Express 4. The slots have Q-Latch support for easy attachment, so you don't need a screwdriver, and the main module even has Q-Slide, which adjusts to the size of the NVMe drive, and the Q-Release retention system. Q in this case stands for Quick. And it was a quick installation, I can confirm that.

I also like the new PCI-e quick release mechanism. Previous generations of ROG boards will have you pressing a button to unlock the graphics card. But with the Z890 Hero, you simply tilt the card slightly to the right to release it. It’s convenient and it’s brilliant, and it boggles the mind why no manufacturer (ASUS included) has implemented or thought about this feature until now.
