aren't Asus official you won't get add/remove option from CP but you will get the audio console. If you try to install it you'll get an error because usually it installs by itself.

The image that I'm showing only says that I have a set of 2 speakers installed.
I also disabled the digital output and all monitor speakers. I don't install nVidia sound drivers either, just my set of speakers. As you can see,
I don't have any options because all the settings are not bright like my speaker output

    Attachment 89311

    1) So if you plug in a simple set of speakers in the green output from the back, do you have sound ?
    2) When you look at all apps from windows, you can't see the realtek audio console?
    3) You're sure that onboard sound is enabled in bios?

If it's still no to all, then I am at a loss. Either it's something very stupid that we don't see or the board actually has an issue,

Like I mentioned the new USB drivers on the new Z590 series suck big time.I have sound but I lose about 10-30 seconds of boot time because these crappy drivers try to load
what drivers are you using to get the audio console to work like that: For the realtek audio console to connect to the rpc service, the realtek driver must be installed. I found this in multiple forums. UAD I think is what I read, same with sonic radar and studio. reason Im getting a error because it doesnt see a driver. Does the package from asus only include the usb driver? Does plugging in a set of speakers or headset activate the ports?? the bios doesnt have a disable feature on this board for onboard audio, you can confirm for me please, I only saw onboard devices, usb audio.

Ok. So I have removed the High Definition Audio Device which is the only one in the device manager that is generic that doesnt say nvidia etc. Also, could the nvidia audio drivers cause a issue or conflict? Anyway, I have removed the usb driver or uninstalled it from control panel, I will attach pic. After removing that, I uninstalled sonic studio and radar along with realtek audio console (apps). Realtek audio console wont connect to the rpc service because there is NO UAD driver is what im reading and being told.

I then cleaned everything out with driver explorer. rebooted, installed the package you gave me and I have tried the asus website package which Im attaching a pic of. I have even tried the other package Mokichi posted on the other thread for this motherboard.

To be clear, the audio of the motherboard is working. I use a corsair headset for gaming anyway. I have a corsair ST100 headset holder plugged into the motherboard via usb, then my void pro headset plugs into the holder via usb. So the usb audio has worked out of the box. Of course that could just be standard usb working period.

Ill attach a pic of the ONLY playback devices I am forced to use or that are options. One is my headset, the other is the headset stand, the other is my samsung g7 faker. I have also been asked if my device was enabled in the bios. I have looked and the only thing to enable or disable as far as audio in the bios is the usb audio. Not sure if I disable the usb audio, would I get the front panel HD audio option or the rear panel.

I should have the option of a Realtek high defintion audio device in game controllers in device manager, and I should have something with realtek on it in the bottom right of windows under sounds. I should also see in the control panel of windows a realtek audio console or speakers etc to choose. Sonic radar nor studio wont load and gives me a error because it doesnt see a driver to use. that has been problem since day one. Like you said, is the UAD driver actually packaged or only the USB driver? but I have used your download you just gave me and the one from here:https://rog.asus.com/forum/showthrea...amp-AMD-TRX40)

the drivers you have me did install, but still nothing. PICS:

    HI Nezff,

I can see from your detailed information that you (like I would be too) are getting frustrated with this. I get your point. I have been repairing and building systems for more than 20 years. There is always something new that arrives to get us completely confused. These drivers are at the top.

This board (Z590) only uses USB drivers for sound, no UAD or HDA drivers for Z1,2,3,4 and so on.
There’s a new chip which is the 4080 codec that all board makers have installed on high end Z590 and High end 570 AMD board.

By default, ports are disabled if you don’t use them. That’s what I mentioned to you in the last post. I only have 1 set of spkrs plugged in and they show up. If I add a headset, then it will disable speakers and the headset will run.
The NVIDIA drivers shouldn’t cause an issue, but I don’t install them. I clean out my drivers with driver slimmer.

Each package is the same except 2676 is the official driver from Asus.
They never update their drivers (well seldom). I install UAD drivers on Z1,2,3,4 series like hotcakes because you have a new version almost every week, not so with these drivers. There are only 3 sets so far. I have used them all but now, on my clean install I used the 2286 with no sonic (for now) and no DTS (never). Just the Realtek audio console which is only am information board in my case since I don’t have a lot of connections used.

Out of the box is USB 2.0 when you install the driver you look at the sound icon near the clock on taskbar and it will say Realtek USB audio if the drivers are installed, if not it will say USB 2.0

If you have a set of external speakers, plug them in before installing drivers ONLY speakers, nothing else. Clean everything then install drivers.

Let me know. if you see Realtek USB audio with speakers.

Got an email today they acknowledged the problem and were able to recreate it, they are going to update the drivers on the board driver page with a fixed drivers for the wav. playback files. It took 20emails back and forth, recording video footage of the problem etc. but I think I did it.

Also if im understanding, the only way for the onboard audio to show up in the sound control panel is to plug something in?

if the realtek driver is installed, there would be a option to use realtek audio on the sound control panel. should have jack information etc..

UAD drivers do not work on this board, only USB drivers. The only way you will see this on the board,

Is if you have a set of speakers plugged in. you won't see anything if you don't have speakers plugged in. each item is identified by it's name.
The Realtek Panel should work but like I said, it's more for show than anything in my case.

There is only Realtek USB audio on this board. it's high def but USB.

    Check this site out.

I like his information about the codec.

So the rear panel IO on this board doesnt work for anyone? ONLY usb? Are you telling me to plug something into the green port on rear and it should magically work?

I have the same speakers. The only thing I can see is board is defect. the speaker output is not working. It doesn't see the speakers.
    RMA the board.

You can request an advanced exchange and leave a deposit for the board. Once they get the original board back they will cancel the deposit.
