Factory restore Questions

dud to some questionable mistakes with certain software i think im going to restore but do it
like this and want some opinions

n this is what i was thinking of doing

1 Restoring to Factory Asus

2 Install windows updates

3 Make windows image

4 use Revo uninstaller to completely uninstall the bloatware

5 install my programs and needed other updates

6 use Msconfig and startuplite to stop un needed programs during start up

6 use ccleaner to clean comp and registry if needed

7 and use either Asulogics defrag or smart defrag if it needs it

8 use Cmd run sfc /scannow

9 run disk check

do the rest of the tasks i need to do

Hi Austin - It sounds like you're going through a lot of effort to create an ASUS Bloatware-free installation. I think you'd be happier performing a clean Windows 7 installation, where the Bloatware is never installed in the first place.

What do you think?

@Austin:

Are still getting all those disk errors you were getting before? No software installation will overcome a failing or problem hard disk. If that's still an issue, you really need to address it first.

I agree with dstrakele....if you want a clean installation, it's much easier to just start with one than to go through all that trouble to create one from a cluttered OEM installation.
