Maximus IV Extreme-Z problems

Hi, I recently (about 2 weeks ago) swapped my RAM, CPU Cooler and GPU. It was working perfectly up until today where in shutdown. On the mobo the BIOS 1 light along with the Start light and ROG symbol light are still on while everything else appears to be off. When I press the power button (on board and case) nothing happens. The first time I press either power button after unplugging and replugging the power, all the fans spin for a brief moment before it returns to the above mentioned state.

My Build:

ASUS ROG Maximus IV Extreme-Z Mobo
Corsair TX750 PSU
16 GB RAM (upgraded from 8GB)
Radeon HD 6870 (upgraded from EVGA Geforce 550Ti)
Intel i5 2500

Doing a clear CMOS like Sukara suggested is a good idea. As is moorhens intuitive suggestion re the PSU. I too think that your 12V CPU connector might have come loose or that your PSU is not longer up for the job.

Failing that, please try to boot your system into BIOS with only one stick or ram in the furtherest memory slot from the CPU.

@moorhen2 wondered where you were mate. Good to see you back with us.

Thankful that the kids go back to school tomorrow, summer school holidays are way way way to long for me. Sort of missed the dry wit my friend. See you on the forum.

OP my apologies for going off track but Moorhen2 is a old friend and no I am not referring to both our ages. 😄
