Bought a OCZ 256GB Octane Series 3 SSD BIOS/Windows can't see it

Hi,

I just upgraded my G53SW with SSD and RAM.

I've added one stick of the 4 GB RAM (so I now have 10GB) but can't find the other RAM slot 😕 but that's another problem.

My main problem is that I've added the OCZ 256GB Octance Series 3 SSD into the empty bay next to the 500GB HDD that came with the laptop but the BIOS nor Windows can see my SSD and I don't know what else to do, is my SSD bricked?

Thanks,

Poncho

One of the most probable scenarios is that your SSD is simply a DOA unit. So take it back and get a new one. If that one has the same problem, then clearly there is some other factor in play that needs to be discovered.
