G750JX 770M Nvidia Drivers

Is it recommended to install video drivers directly from nvidia driver site or should we stick to the ones from asus?

nvidia site : v320.49 (release 1st July 2013)

asus driver site : v311.83 (release 18th July 2013)

Is the ASUS version tweaked or modified in some way for better performance on these specific machines?

Please advise, thanks.

Just dealt with this issue. Stick with driver from Asus support page.
ASUS G750JX-TB71
CPU: i7-4700HQ @ 2.40 GHz.
Graphics: GeForce GTX 770M 3 GB GDDR5 RAM
Screen: 17.3' Full HD Matte Screen
Memory: 16GB DDR3 1600 MHz. RAM
Storage: 128 GB Samsung 840 Pro SSD + 750 MB Hitachi 7200 RPM HDD
OS: Windows 8 Pro (x64)

may i know what kind of issue you encountered?

Screen kept going whacko while playing planetside 2. I had updated to latest driver via win8 update. Not a good idea. Rolled back to driver from Asus webpage, all good now.

i've always used the nvidia drivers directly. asus doesn't update their drivers very often.

you can go to laptop2go website, they have the latest Nvidia drivers updated and also detects my card, if you want other options to solve your issue

ok ppl i solved this one, the oficial nvidia driver, doesn´t detect my gtx 770M card, even if it is working fine, so i talk to Nvidia, you can download the latest driver update from here:

click on the link below to download and save the file on the desktop:

http://www.nvidia.com/object/notebook-win8-win7-64bit-326.41-beta-driver.html

Once the download is completed, please perform the following steps:

1.Run the set up.exe file
2.Choose custom installation, and click next.
3.Check all the boxes in the custom install options windows and also check the box which states "Perform clean install"..
4.Restart your computer.

Done

Hope this help
