Okay guys it has been awhile since I have been on here. I am migrating my G75VW Win8 and Win7 over to SSD. I am having issues on which one I should go with. I am looking at Intel 530 and Samsung 840. I would like opinions from you guys.

I don't think you could go wrong with either, I would get the 840 Pro rather than the lesser 840 that 5 year warranty means something to me.

yeah both are fine ssd's, but if i have to choose between the two, i will get intel 530 for its longer warranty period. like @Clintlgm pointed out, samsung 840 pro is a much better option (and my personal preference hehe)

Hi I'm stuck! Could you please help me out! I bought a hyper 3k ssd and would like to use it on my second slot. So I installed it and when I rebooted the computer and went to disk management it did not have my ssd in there. Is there something I'm missing?

If you take Samsung 840 SSD and try to transfer preinstalled version of windows you will fail. There is a thread about this somewhere here I saw how to do it with other software. I know this because I bought 840 and wasn't be able to transfer preinstalled version of windows with Samsung included transfer software.
I have 840 regular version not pro and love it, so Id suggest go with 840.

Yea I think Samsung is using Ghost to clone to a new SSD, its not UEFI compliant. Macrium Reflectits free and works.

Yes, there's a thread HERE on the Samsung Migration software problem with UEFI/GPT format!
Would be best to use
Macrium Reflect

I would go with the Samsung 840 Pro, it's rated number one on FastestSSD.com
