Maximus VI impact WiFi woes

I have strange problem connecting to wireless home router (very stable 802.11 b/g, running Tomato firmware, just couple of meters from the PC). Connection speed is all over the place - it varies from 1 mbps to full 54 mbps. Lots of lost packets as well. All other devices work flawlessly (laptop, tablet and couple of smart phones), and are connected at full and stable speed at 54mbps.

I have tried every possible combination in Advanced tab of Network Adapter Properties but still no joy. Hate to go back to wired 😞

After additional research I found that Broadcom BCM4352 has issues with legacy b/g/n connections. Well, disabled onboard wifi in UEFI, got TP-link USB 150mbps N WiFi adapter and the problem is solved :).
