Arfitafcts in 2D when downclocked Matrix Platinum 280x

Hi guys please check screenshots for details .....

Is there anyway to prevent GPU going low clocks in 2d as when in 3d mode it does not give artifacts ?
Anyway I have to RMA it but need that GPU for 2 more weeks.

When I put my 7970 to Power Saving mode with 2D setting switch chosen in GPU Tweak, my desktop and windows starts flickering and artifacting but it looks way way ...more ugly 😜

I remember there was a thread about turning off 2D, but couldnt find the link.
I am using GPU tweak and I cannot see any option about disabling that

However, if you use MSI afterburner, there is an option for you to disable 2D

do you have this problem by running 3D games? if not, you can try increasing your 2D values until you dont see anymore flicker
some people have all flickers gone by increasing 2D memory clock to 1600, some requires 2200, some already seen no flickers on 900
give it a shot, and try increasing it per 200

Maybe by modifying the bios values ?
