Hello,

my question is the following: I want to put 2 SSD in RAID0 configuration, install everything on them: Win 8.1, games, often used files.
I also want to have an HDD as my Backup, for big files.
I read in the Manual book of the Maximus VI Hero, that it's not possible to run RAID configuration AND another HDD.
So either ALL your SSD/HDD are in RAID or all are not in RAID as i understand (Page 162)

Due to chipset limitation, when SATA ports are set to RAID mode, all SATA ports run at
RAID mode together.

This is my Setup.

Is it possible, or will i have to go with only 2 SSD and not be able to use the HDD?
If it works and someone has a nice setup guide, i would be glad to get an easy to follow guide 🙂
