Upgraded to SSD, clean Win7 Install, will not let me install ASUS Utilities

Hey all,

Firstly, Im new to posting in forums, so if I break etiquette let me know. I can only learn if Im told, right?

Anyway, I have a G75VW laptop, and I finally plunged into SSD and I am loving the sheer speed difference compared to my old 5400rpm drive. I decided to try a clean install of Windows first, you know to get a feel for the process, and pulled it off without a hitch. Found most of the information I needed right here amongst various posts.

My problem though is because Im using stock Windows, the ASUS drivers to control things like the volume keys on my keyboard or to adjust the performance/battery saving power profile will not install. It says that they can only be installed on ASUS laptops, which I currently have, but can't be recognized for some reason. Any thoughts?

Could it be possible to run the recovery partition on my old drive in the other HDD slot and install the factory OS to the new SSD? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks! 🙂
