G750jh subwoofer problems

Hi guys,

I'm having some problem with the sound of this awesome notebook.
I'm passing to asus from my dell (xps 15 l501x) who had a subwoofer too. When i first was listenning to a song i was like "Where the hell is the subwoofer sound?"
So my problem is this, I updated to 8.1, installed the newest driver that i found on asus website (realtek 6.0.1.7095), so i went on options and tried to modify some settings, but nothing happened, the sound is horrible and cannot really hear the subwoofer.
So, what can i do? i also tried to change drivers, to 6.0.6976, i haven't now the audio wizard but the subwoofer seems working (But still not appreciable). I don't know if i'm used to hear my old pc that had really nice sound or if there's something not working properly in my new pc.

Please help me, and sorry for my english ^_^

solved: downgrade to w8.

The problem was the driver 7095.
Now with windows 8 the subwoofer works, and all seems ok, may i have some feed to other users that upgraded to w8.1 ?

eliuss89, I am running 7195 on Windows 8.1. Asus messed up the ordering of these downloads, the newest Version V6.0.1.7195 is the 5th one down the list

The G750JW/JX/JH download areas aren't as up to date for Windows 8.1, so go to the G750JM/JS/JZ for newer updates, and also function specific download areas like the Notebook Audio section above to get the latest Windows 8.1 drivers.

Hi,
well spotted hmscott.
i do check from time to time and, like many others, assumed that the latest would be on the top.
silly me...
on the top, V6.0.1.7076 is dated 2014.05.07
V6.0.1.7195 further down, as you said, is dated 2014.04.01

you are right, what a complete mess. its just a random assortment of updates in no particlar order.
Asus, you failed again 😞
