Problems booting up after updating my G75VX to Windows 8.1

After updating my laptop to Windows 8.1 it doesn't boot properly and most of the times it gets stuck on a black screen after the ROG symbol loads during startup. I have to restart it multiple times to let it load windows properly. Any fixes ? Help would be appreciated .

a Clean install of 8.1, if you could find a disk you might do a repair install. Roll back to a date before you ran the upgrade to 8.1, with one of those back up Images you have been keeping up with?

I don't have a back up image. My laptop came with pre installed windows and is there any way to perform a clean install on windows 8.1 ?

Yes you'll have to find an ISO window 8.1 64 Core. Goggle for the install only key. use that key to clean install 8.1 then activate with your window 8 product key
