My (first) build has five Corsair AF140 3-pin fans, the ASUS Maximus VII Hero board has four 4-pin fan headers, of which one is out of the way on the bottom, leaving three 4-ping fan headers for five 3-pin fans.
What is the best cable to use? Will I still get fan speed control, even though the fans are only 3-ping?
How about the Silverstone Tek One-To-Three PWM Fan Splitter (CPF02); or the Evercool EC-DF001, which has a molex to the PSU, four 3-pin and one 4-pin header, and a 4-ping connection to the motherboard? Something else?
