quick post im curious my new gaming rig is running minecraft ftb at a similar FPS as my crummy old laptop around 40 -50 FPS
is this normal I know mine craft optimisation is awful.

rig specs are as follows

rampage iv black edition
i7 4820 oc to 4.3
16G of g.skill trident x at2400MHZ
r9 280x x1
750watt novatech PSU
Seagate 2T Hybred drive
outputting video to a hdtv via hdmi

soon to add a second r9 280X

I'm not familiar with the game but a lot of games are actually locked to not be able to go higher then a certain frame rate as part of the optimization

You could google to see if Minecraft has a 60fps hardcoded lock

In the past ive had her at 120fps on my old lappy . Seems odd I get the same fps at low grapgics and high graphics after some brief reading if my card is working v sync that will lock the fps down ill check that next

Job done it was V sync limiting my fps turned off now smashing nearly 200fps on full settings .
