Hello everyone,

I am looking for a new motherboard for my i5 4690k. Is the are any differences between these models in OC?

Is motherboards from series Maximus VII fast start? I want to have a motherboard that will just quickly start like a my previous Asrock Z77 Extreme 4.

Are these motherboards work with G Skill TridentX 2400MHZ CL 10 2x8GB (F3-2400C10D-8GTX)?

Greetings 🙂

"Fast Start" Entirely depending on your set up. I'm running a Samsung 840 Evo 250GB and boots in the 9 second range.

Hero has some extra SATA ports and a M PCIE port, extra overclocking software & better audio rounding it out a better power source for the microprocessor.

Squall_Rinoa89 I have the HERO Z97 and Crucial MX100 512GB and my boot time is 18 to 20 sec. What can I do to speed this up? Any advice would be appreciated?

I would say RAPID mode but Dont think the Crucial has such. What windows are you using as well? It also plays a part. Also check and see if you have Intel Rapid Storage on as its said to help increase boot times. I've never personally tested with it on and off so cannot comment neither have I had much time lately to play with it.
