Realtek Audio Orange/Black Jacks not detected with newest drivers

Hi All,

Ran into an issue with the Realtek audio on Win8.1 whereby only the green analog jack is detected.

Installing any driver from either Station-Drivers or Realteks website (Official R2.79 and 7543 from SD) causes the Orange/Black jacks to not be detected as well as the front panel. It shows orange as active, but this is actually the green jack.

If I install the 7450 drivers from Asus, all jacks work as per below.

Anyone know what file(s) need to be replaced or modified on the newer drivers so they can work with the Rampage V ??

Windows 10 preview automatically installs 7535 driver which also doesn't work as above, so I have to replace with 7450

Have you tried the driver on the Rampage V Extreme's support page? That one has been tested and validated by ASUS. 😛

Hello

The working 7450 is from the ASUS support page. Issues such as these are why it is suggested to use ASUS provided drivers.

nope, that's been out for awhile, Realtek Audio Driver V6.0.1.7450, 16 Mar 2015. Thought you couldn't use the stuff from Realtek's site, the drivers they offer only cover upto ALC900. The chip on the Rampage Extreme is an ALC1150. I've searched Realteks site before and all they say about the ALC1150 is it's offered to partner venders. Think we have wait till ASUS updates it. I know I look at the latest patch nots and didn't see ALC 1150 mentioned. I used to go to Realtek for new drivers with my old Crosshair board but it used an ALC 898, I think, an 89x something anyway.

I'd roll back to the ASUS driver

Thanks all, guess they'll release a new driver once Win10 comes out, 7450 works fine anyway, I'm just a bit of a 'latest driver' junkie.

Yeah me too. But I've learned to always read the driver notes. Realteks good about posting release notes with the driver updates, but, when I didn't ALC1150, figured I'd have to pass. Did download them for wifes computer 🙂
