You can, however, pull the optical drive out and use a drive bay caddy to install a second drive.
I recommend giving that thread a read. It is probably adviseable to put the spinning HDD in the optical drive bay instead - the interface is likely SATA2 or SATA1, you'll want the SATA3 default bay for the SSD.
