Hi all, hoping you could help with a query?
On my new Skylake MATX build, unfortunately the Noctua NH-14S CPU heatsink covers up the main PCIE slot (x16, x8) in a standard orientation. As such, I either need to turn the heatsink 90 degrees, or I can put my my GTX 970 in the second PCIE slot. However, if I do the latter, will I only get x8 speed, or will I get x16 speed? Also, does it matter between x16 and x8?
Any help appreciated,
Nik
