hi Guys,

i am thinking of updating my GTX690-4GD5 for the new Strix GTX 980Ti.

I am trying to find a benchmark where I can compare the 2, but haven't found any yet. Anyone out there that can help me to decided of the gain in FPS is worth it?

thanks!

ps. I have the Rog swig PG278Q gaming monitor.

Hello Crasje

In this video they look like they trade blows. Even though the gtx 690 is a 4GB gpu it's 2GB for each gpu.

Thats a pretty cool site... how do I know they are using the 4GD5 version of the card, vs the Strix 980TI DC3 OC version?

it looks like that are using the 'basic GTX' card

Heh...well, finding exactly what cards you have in mind is probably going to be difficult...that gets you as close as you need to gauge performance difference...any OC over stock will only increase performance

Only way to be more accurate than that is you buy the Strix 980Ti and then run the benches and tell us 😛

Hello Crasje

All gtx 690's are 4GB that I know of, that's 2GB for each GPU and at 4k 2GB for each gpu is not enough. The 980ti will really shine at higher resolutions.

I'm not sure what type of display port connections the rog swift has, mini displayport or regular displayport or both but here are some to take a look at.
