Hi I have Maximus vii ranger and a corsair RM650 Power Supply I keep getting on first start up this message, cpu fan error press f1 to setup. Is there any way I can solve this problem.

Welcome to the ROG forum.

Try setting the cpu fan to 200 rpm or you can set it to ignore. In the bios go to the monitoring tab then fan speed monitor, cpu fan speed should be listed at the top.

Hello,

I have a custom liquid cooling and the pump was connected into the CPU Fan connector. This is the same error as you received.
What I did was connect the pump into other fan connector in the MoBo and change in the BIOS (FAN Monitor) to ignore the CPU Fan and thats it. The computer boots normally.
