Troubleshooting keyboard help

Hi All,

Im in need of some troubleshooting guidance.

Im having an issue where my keyboard is sporadically not detected on boot. This is now happening on almost every boot, where the bios does not detect my keyboard.

I used to have a Asus Sabertooth x58 with a Genius backlit gaming keyboard, and the issue was happening very often. Since then I upgraded to Asus ROG g30ab, and the issue persisted. I upgraded my keyboard to a corsair k70 lux mechanical, and the issue is still happening. Considering all the hardware changes, the only thing in common is that both desktops are using an ASUS MB.

One thing that I noticed is that sometimes the backlight stays on after system was shutdown. This happened only a couple of times, but it is an indication that something is wrong on the bios. Perhaps some power option, or wake on keyboard, or something.

Also, I would like to mention that I have windows 8.1 and Ubuntu in dual boot. But considering the issue happens before the boot manager (grub), it is unlikely that the issue is caused by the grub. Im thinking its not impossible that windows has a feature that is causing this, as it was with fast boot hogging up my HDD's in a hybernated state causing the linux not to be able to mount them.

My guess is that I might be missing a bios parameter but not sure what. Current config:

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Edit: Forgot to mention, I did try plugging the keyboard into different USB slots. The k70 has 2 USB feeds, tried with one as well. No luck.
