Udgrading Max V Formula from Win7 64 Ultimate to Win 10 ?

Hi Folks -
Are you members running Win 10 Pro on your Maximus V Formula mother boards??

Concerning my Maximus V Formula mb:

When attempting to upgrade my "Intel 82579V Gigabit Network Connection" (Version 12.2.45.0 dated 8/10/2012) in Device Manager, - to the latest version (PROWin64.exe V 22.1 dated 3/27/2017) reported by Intel Driver Update Utility (V2.7.2.4) the following occurs:
When clicked to install the new Proset driver it proceeds but then an error message pops up. "The installed version of Intel Network Connections is not supported for upgrades. You must uninstall it before installing this version." But then an Intel window ppops up requesting a reboot to finish. After a reboot, Device Manager still lists the driver as being the old version, but a rescan by Intel Driver Update indicates the new version 22.1 is installed?
I have no idea how to proceed with correcting this as I do not see a specific listing for the driver in Prograsms & Features for "uninstall"
I want to upgrade from Win7 64 Ultimate to Win10 Pro and I understand that the 22.1 version of the 82579V is required for it to work on my Maximus V Formula.

I would greatly appreciate any help and/or advice towards facillitating this deiver update. Thanks

I recently installed Win 10 on a MV Gene, clean install not upgrade, I don't remember needing to install an NIC driver or sound driver, the drivers in Windows worked just fine.
If your upgrading you may want to uninstall all drivers before updating and let Windows install new ones , or perform a clean install
If you refer to the ASUS downloads for this board there is no NIC driver for Windows 10 and other drivers are beta
