Asus G750JX - Advice needed - If motherboard replacement needed?

Hi,

I'd like to keep this thread starter in simple short sentences. About a couple of months ago I was getting my ultrabook's screen replaced for a crack. I receive the ultrabook back and it works untilI click something on the desktop which causes it to BSOD. The JX loads up and does the same thing. I then plug the laptop into a different socket in the house, this time the ultrabook screen is black.

From there I took the JX to a PC specialist and he states that it was a faulty motherboard which needs replacing. Furthermore, go a month forward in time and I look at the motherboard myself I notice that the black conductive strips on the back haven't been touched nor has the lid been opened. From my perspective the motherboard looked in good shape with no visible problems.

I live in the UK and I'm willing to ship EU, however, I need some confirmation on if this is actually a Motherboard issue. The laptop does turn on but the screen doesn't. I've attempted to try it with my BenQ monitor, it didn't work (Though I need to close the lid then boot it same with other laptops which I haven't done).

I've taken it apart but haven't had the time to reconstruct it yet. Here are some pictures: (I don't think they'll help)

Booting up as far as the desktop before crashing isn't typical for a hardware problem. My JS sometimes bluescreens at around that point if a Windows update gets messed up, I can generally fix it by using safe mode to delete and reinstall the nvidia drivers.

The problem is that it doesn't display anything other than the back-screen led lighting up. I haven't assembled the laptop back together but I plan to soon, I'll update.

-Update-

I reassembled my JX and noted something which didn't happen before: The battery was unable to hold charge. I don't know what caused this and I re-plugged in my battery after refitting the cmos battery and the computer all together.

I attempted to test if the Laptop would work - > LED indicators turned on whilst the battery indicator was red. The screen would not turn on (No changes). In order to find differences I plugged in a VGA into my Laptop -> BenQ did not detect a device. I then rebooted the laptop to make sure -> No changes. I then switched to a HDMI 2.0 on ports 1 and 2 -> Benq did not detect anything.

I don't want to risk sending it back to Asus in Taiwan since they messed the laptop further by fitting the wrong screen.
