hi guys.

on the maximus iv extreme-z I see that the voltages vccsa/vccio are linked in the bios.
on my previous p67 mainboard there were not linked, there were 2 different voltage.

as far as I know
vccsa voltage max is 0.971
vccio voltage max is 1.10 V

how could it is possibile?
it's unsafe??

Post up a screen of that bios page mate. I have just dismantled the M4E and can't face putting it up three times in one day. 🙂

They are linked as you know and the value you are seeing is for the VCCIO so yes it is safe.

Latest BIOS version is 1004

thank you for the reply.

I've another question, maybe it is better to start a new thread, but I start asking here.

I've got a problem getting my ram stable.

The ram is G.SKILL RIPJAWS
F3-17000CL9D-4GBXL

xpm 2133 9-11-9-28 2T @ 1,6v

I used that kit on another mainboard (p67 asrock fatal1ty professional) and worked fine and stable.
Now I've got problems, I cant pass even memtest at rated speed. I tried to lower timings using 2133 cl10 but still error.

I tried 1333 cl9 @ 1,5v and passed memtest (500%) without problems.

There are some subtimings to change?

EDIT

I've red that it is better to put the ram into the red slots, is this true?

Red slots are good.

The ram should work at XMP in your board. As the board is on the QVL list of GSkill.

Running memtest is a good idea, see which of your slots the ram works 100% on and which do not. Starting to think that your board might have a few little issues.

Just confirm that the CPU you used on the Asrock board was the same. This is important detail.

Yes the cpu is the same.. that's why I'm confused.

I tried loading xmp al left all timings on auto, ram were 10-10-10-30 2T @ 1,6v.
done memtest but error after 150% coverage 😞
I try raising vccio.

I purchased the mainboard from my friend, I dont know which ram he used but It worked perfectly.

This is a puzzle that we will find the answer for I am sure.

Going to change the thread title to ram issue yeah?

update.

done clear cmos.
all voltage and frequency at default values.

ram into xmp (9-11-9-28 2T @ 1,6v)

done memtest 400% coverage without no error.
so ram must be good.

I'll try with cpu overclocked (I tried the same settings I was prime95 blend test stable on another mainboard) maybe raising the vcore.
