By leveraging the incredible bandwidth of Thunderbolt™ 5, the XG Mobile not only boosts your gaming performance, but also offers a host of connectivity options including wired ethernet and high-speed USB ports in one slim package. Thunderbolt™ 5

The 2025 XG Mobile is the first to feature a Thunderbolt™ 5 connection. With double the bandwidth of the previous Thunderbolt™ 4 standard, the XG Mobile has 120Gbps of throughput, offering support for 8K video for creators, the ability to support up to three 4K displays at 144Hz simultaneously, and access to high-bandwidth data transmission as a USB hub.

DESIGN

Smaller and lighter

Traditional external graphics cards occupy large desktop enclosures, so we’ve always designed the XG Mobile to be about the size and weight of a standard hardcover novel. But we upped the ante this year, reducing both the weight and overall size of the device compared to last generation. The 2025 XG Mobile will easily slip into even the smallest bags and backpacks, and weighing less than 1 kilogram, it’s light enough to be carried anywhere you need to go without a second thought.

Cutting-edge MOSFETs

The 2025 XG Mobile uses all-new active bridge rectifier MOSFETs instead of traditional diodes to regulate power delivery, allowing us to reduce bulk and weight while keeping a 330W power profile. This allowed us to shave 150g off the weight of the power board and increase power efficiency at the same time. These MOSFETs are especially useful in reducing voltage drop in high-current applications, giving the XG Mobile rock-solid performance in any scenario.

Lean in

The XG Mobile features a new hinge for 2025, now much lower profile to take up less of your desk space. The stand subtly hints at the signature ROG Slash design language. We’ve also included a stand in the box, allowing the device to stand up completely vertical if you prefer that look.

We’re so proud of the 2025 XG Mobile that we wanted to show off its components for the whole world to see. An off-black semi-transparent chassis offers a glimpse inside this marvel of engineering, with its robust power delivery modules and other surface-mounted components clearly visible on the mainboard, as well as a fully RGB Fearless Eye logo.

This much power requires a cutting-edge cooling solution, especially when packed into such a small package. With a redesign of the fan placement, a lighter fan shroud, a new vapor chamber, and an integrated dust filter, the 2025 XG Mobile has the most advanced cooling system ever.

Brand New Vapor Chamber

A copper vapor chamber provides more surface contact with heat-generating components than a traditional heatpipe system, increasing cooling efficiency without increasing bulk. The 2025 XG Mobile features a brand-new copper vapor chamber, reducing weight by 30% while maintaining thermal performance with 50% thicker capillary structures.

Ultra-thin Fins

Ultra-thin fins further help to reduce weight without sacrificing cooling efficiency.

Dust Filter

TThe 2025 XG Mobile includes a dust filter to keep dust and particulate debris out of the system so the fans can keep breathing fresh air.

Quieter Vent Layout

The 2025 XG Mobile keeps the fan assembly as far away from the user as possible, reducing noise by 3dB.

SOFTWARE

Shine on

The XG Mobile wouldn’t be a true ROG device without a little RGB flair. The ROG Fearless Eye logo has full Aura Sync support, allowing you to easily pair it up with your laptop, headset, mouse, or other Aura-compatible peripherals for a unified look.

IO PORTS

The XG Mobile easily hosts a wide range of connectivity options. From a dedicated 5Gbps ethernet port to both an HDMI 2.1 and a DisplayPort 2.1 port, the XG Mobile has plenty of next-gen options to keep you connected.

*The SD card reader, USB-A ports, and 5Gb Ethernet jack share a single U3 hub with a total bandwidth of 10Gb. Bandwidth for each port may vary based on how many devices are plugged in. With all ports occupied, each port can utilize up to 2.5Gb.
*For optimal image and video quality, we strongly recommend using HDMI or DisplayPort for image transmission.
