Color adds brightness and personality to everything. We have a long history of weaving Aura Sync into a huge ecosystem of devices to let you better express yourself through your gear, but illumination isn’t fit for every locale. Plenty of people want a hint of personality that doesn’t need to be powered on first. That’s why we’re broadening our palette with a new series of eye-popping Electro Punk devices.
Where our Original Black and Glacier Blue laptop shades are more classic and cool, Electro Punk has a rebellious streak that’s eager to stand out. Punchy pink highlights against black backgrounds distinguish this lineup from its buttoned-up brethren. We’re making this color combo available on our ROG Strix G15 gaming laptop, ROG Strix Go series headsets, ROG Strix Impact II mouse, ROG Strix Scope TKL keyboard, ROG Sheath mouse pad, and ROG Ranger BP1503 backpack. Picture perfect pigment
Creating a new color for any ROG device takes incredible care. Every potential tint has to expand our palette in an exciting new direction, while maintaining our high aesthetic standards. We have to consider the shade itself, how to implement it, and how to match it across a variety of materials and surfaces. That difficulty doubles for shades shared by a diverse array of devices. Laptops and peripherals are typically developed in different departments, so making this collection look cohesive required considerable cooperation.
Fortunately, our designers have long wanted to fold cyberpunk-inspired neons into our palette, which made narrowing down our initial options easy. Much as we did for our ROG PNK LTD line, we experimented with a range of tints, from robust roses to crisp corals. After scrutinizing our preferred picks in a number of different lightings and environments, we settled on a high-energy hue with the hex color code #F7266B.
To make that look even more impactful, we put it up against a classic black backdrop. Darker materials are great because they hold up well over time, which is crucial for heavily handled machines. Laptops are pulled in and out of bags for gaming on the go, mice can exhibit wear around their sides and buttons, and headphones stand up to constant use. Black keeps devices looking crisp and clean for longer, while adding the perfect contrast to our new robust rose.
Aura Sync accents amplify many of our Electro Punk devices as well. Devices with Aura Sync are pre-set to the same shade to make our plastics, fabrics, and paints truly pop. RGB can always be tweaked and tailored to perfection within our ROG Armoury Crate utility, or reset back to default for impeccable coordination.
The ROG Strix G15 Electro Punk gaming laptop
With its laser focus on gaming fundamentals and everyday performance, the ROG Strix G15 gaming laptop has always been a plum pick for your pocketbook. Our new 15” Electro Punk edition keeps everything we love about this device and gives it a coral crown. A sleek stripe around the chassis mirrors the outlined edge of the touchpad, while colored cyber-text patterning adorns the deck. Brighter touches include highlighted WASD keys and the unmissable ROG logo splashed across the lid.
Inside, the Strix G15 boasts the latest 10th Gen Intel® processors and NVIDIA® GeForce RTX™ graphics. Up to an Intel® Core™ i7 CPU has 8 cores and 16 threads to speed through everyday work and play.
