    We can say that the fact that the card is ROG Strix provides a great advantage. We can also say that it is a very good series in terms of cooling.

    This is a card that you will never hear how it works, the temperatures have been further reduced compared to the previous model, the cooler has been drastically increased and the design is even more refined

    The power stages offer no less than 8 phases for the GPU and 2 for the memory.

    As for the ASUS and Sapphire models, we found that they perform well, with the ASUS offering being able to run the GPU on lower temps by virtue of a slightly larger and more efficient heatsink. Both cards run quietly (the NITRO+ slightly more so), which is why the choice between the two has to be based primarily on the actual price, which we will see as soon as the manufacturers introduce the models in shops.

    The 6650 XT is a quiet and well-cooled board that enjoys a certain overclocking margin, reaching high frequencies without any effort. But it doesn't change the landscape one iota, only slightly increasing the advantage over the NVIDIA GeFroce RTX 3060 in terms of brute power and suffering from the same limitations as the previous version.

    Armored Underside


    The underside of the card reveals further improvements. Most of the rear is swathed in a protective metal backplate that prominently features a wide vent. The vent allows hot air to escape towards chassis exhaust fans instead of being recycled back into the cooler. A GPU bracket provides extra stability to the critical connection between die and heat spreader. Stainless steel is used for the I/O bracket to protect ports and provide a more secure mount. And a conveniently placed Dual BIOS switch allows customization of the card’s default performance profile without software.
