The ROG Strix Scope II 96 is built with an all-new layout in mind, but we didn’t stop there. At the beating heart of the ROG Strix Scope II 96 Wireless are the brand-new ROG NX Snow switches. These hot-swappable switches are pre-lubed on both the stems and base housings with dry lube and Krytox GDL-205 in key locations, delivering a smooth, linear feel while also eliminating springback noise. Available with either PBT doubleshot keycaps or UV-coated ABS keycaps, a standard cross-shaped stem ensures wide compatibility with aftermarket keycaps should you choose your own set.
A walled stem design enhances keystroke stability and offers protection against dust intrusion. ROG NX Snow switches sport custom tuned force actuation curves, with an initial actuation force of 40 grams keeps the keyboard feeling light for ultra-fast keystrokes, and a total actuation force extending to 53 grams for perfect rebound feedback. The NX Snow’s actuation point is the same as its reset point, enhancing the keystroke and reset consistency and letting you train your muscle memory much more accurately. A 1.8mm actuation point lets you get the drop on your opponents.
Custom ROG keyboard stabilizers ensure that even longer keys feel incredibly close to the original keystroke feel. Pre-lubed as well, these stabilizers work in tandem with the Spacebar, Shift, and Enter keys to minimize friction, even when triggered on the edges of the key. A custom dampening foam with micro-sized switch dampening pads for each key, a second full foam layer under the PCB, and an aluminum alloy frame give the ROG Strix Scope II 96 Wireless a premium feel and deep keystroke sound you would expect from a boutique keyboard.
Rock-solid connection
The ROG Strix Scope II 96 Wireless features ROG SpeedNova technology, offering up to 1,500 hours of near-zero latency gampelay through its 2.4GHz RF connection. For those of you who prefer your Aura Sync RGB to be loud and proud, please note that you will see less battery life, closer to 90 hours. ROG SpeedNova technology optimizes both the power consumption and signal transfer speed, keeping you at the top of your game at all times.
You can also opt for a Bluetooth connection or charge and play simultaneously when plugged in over USB. The ROG Strix Scope II 96 Wireless is also the first ROG keyboard to be equipped with the ROG OMNI receiver, a USB dongle that supports wireless connection on multiple supported device via a single USB receiver without compromising performance.
Intelligent keys
Thanks to support for on-the-fly macro recording, the ROG Strix Scope II 96 Wireless supports a robust set of hotkeys and functions baked into the keyboard itself, no software required. Lighting mode and brightness, profile switching, clearing onboard memory to factory, Bluetooth pairing, device switching and more are all supported via the function key. You can even check the battery status right on the keyboard, with the RGB lighting up between the tilde and zero key to indicate a percentage.
The media control wheel built into the top right of the keyboard is also multi-function. This multiwheel can adjust volume, media playback, lighting, and even features a manual mode that is customizable via Armoury Crate. One wheel, infinite versatility.
The ROG Strix Scope II 96 Wireless also features baked-in support for critical hotkeys. With the click of one button, you can open Xbox Game Bar, take a screenshot, save the last 30 seconds of gameplay, start or stop a screen recording, or mute and unmute your microphone. As the perfect hybrid for work and gaming, these keys can also be configured as standard F1-F5 if you so choose. In other words: thanks to the 96% layout, you lose almost no functionality from a standard 100% keyboard, we’ve just compressed the size down to an 80% form factor.
